Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains how AIFantasy.se ("we", "us") handles information when you visit our website, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Swedish data protection law.

Who we are

What we collect

We aim to collect as little as possible. Specifically:

  • Aggregate product events — if configured, a first-party Cloudflare Worker can record strictly allowlisted events such as a world start or message-count milestone. Story text and saved memory text are excluded.
  • Technical data — standard infrastructure data (for example IP address and browser information) processed by Cloudflare to deliver and secure the site. If Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled for AI abuse protection, its verification flow also processes technical request/browser signals; Turnstile is a bot-abuse control and is not age verification.
  • Contact data — if you email us, we receive the information you choose to send.

AIFantasy Studio currently does not require an account. Character settings, conversation history and memories are stored in your browser using localStorage in the current version. You can remove this data by clearing site storage. When live AI is enabled, a bounded portion of message content and story context is sent through our Cloudflare Worker to Cloudflare Workers AI to generate the requested response. Application code does not persist conversation bodies in an application database. Cloudflare processing and international-transfer terms require final launch review.

Why we process it (legal bases)

  • Legitimate interests — for privacy-preserving audience measurement, security, basic server logging and keeping the site working.

Cookies

We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. Studio uses browser localStorage for user-requested product functions such as age acknowledgement, character settings, conversations and explicit memories. See our storage & cookie policy.

AIFantasy Studio data

Studio stores structured story continuity locally on your device, including episode summaries, world events, unresolved threads, character-scoped knowledge and relationship state. Separately, personal facts are only placed in the explicit saved-facts section when you choose to add them. No live payment card data is handled by AIFantasy in the delivered build; billing is disabled until a compliant hosted payment provider is configured.

Affiliate links & third parties

When you click an affiliate link, the destination platform sets its own cookies and processes your data under its privacy policy. We may receive aggregated, non-identifying information about referrals (e.g. that a sign-up occurred), but not your activity inside those platforms. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any app you visit.

Sharing

We don't sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers needed to run the site and requested AI generation (currently Cloudflare infrastructure/Workers AI when enabled), or where required by law. Final processor and transfer disclosures are a launch gate before public live-AI operation.

Retention

We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes above. Anonymised analytics may be retained in aggregate; server logs are kept for a limited period for security.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any right, email contact@aifantasy.se. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in Sweden, the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten).

International visitors

We welcome visitors worldwide. Cloudflare is a global service. Do not assume AI processing remains in the EU/EEA. Applicable data locations, subprocessors and transfer safeguards must be confirmed before public live-AI launch.

Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date shows the latest version.

AIFantasy Worlds local beta data

During this beta, story messages, story state, favorites, custom characters and user-saved memories are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. They are not intentionally sent to our analytics service. Message text is sent to the AI endpoint only when you request a generated response. The beta UI provides local export and deletion controls.

We use privacy-oriented aggregate analytics to measure events such as starting a world, message-count milestones and Premium interest. We do not intentionally include the text of your private story messages or saved memories in those analytics events.
