The simple version

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one (we mark these "Ad" or "Visit") and sign up or subscribe, we may earn a commission. This costs you nothing extra, and it never affects our ratings, rankings or opinions.

How we label affiliate links

We mark affiliate links and buttons with an "Ad" tag or a clear "Visit" label, and outbound partner links carry a sponsored attribute. Buttons that send you to a partner are clearly distinct from internal links to our own reviews and guides.

How we choose what to feature

We rank and review apps on merit, based on in-depth testing — see how we rank. Whether or not an app has an affiliate program does not determine its score or position. We include genuine pros and cons for every app, and we will say when something isn't good.

Why we use affiliate links

Affiliate commissions let us keep the site free to read while we spend time testing apps and updating reviews. We think that's a fair trade — but only if we're upfront about it, which is why this disclosure exists and why disclosures also appear on our review and comparison pages.

Independence

We are not owned by any of the apps we review. Our recommendations reflect our genuine assessment. If we ever can't recommend something, we'll tell you. Read more about us.
